Why should I hire a bookkeeper?

In a nutshell: Play to your strengths. Unless you’re like me, bookkeeping is not the reason you started your business. Your company needs your attention in so many areas: strategy, marketing, funding, idea development, staffing, etc. Hiring a professional frees you to focus on core business needs.


What exactly would you do for my business?

That depends on what you need. Our four main areas are business consulting, bookkeeping, payroll and QuickBooks support. Within those broad categories are many customizable options. Once you provide us with some preliminary information, we’ll contact you for a more in depth discussion to see what you’re looking for and if we would be a good fit.


Would I have to provide an office for you to work in?

Not at all! We work completely off site so there’s no need to find extra space for us. We utilize modern technologies that allow us to get everything done remotely.


If you’re not coming to my office, how do I get you my paperwork?

We provide you access at no extra charge to a private and secure portal that you can upload your documents to.


How much do you charge?

Just like your business is like no other, your business needs are unique as well. We’ll create a customized proposal and quote for you based on exactly what you require.


What if I don’t know what I need?

We can help there, too. Through a process we call Discovery, we assess your business needs and find where there are deficiencies. You’re always in control of what aspects of your business we become involved in.


What if I just need help getting caught up and then I want to keep my books myself?

That’s ok, too. We love cleanup jobs and getting books back to where they should be. If after that you’d like to take over, we’ll give you the tools to be successful. Or you may decide to continue using our services. Either way, it’s always up to YOU.


Do I have to use QuickBooks?

At this time, we only support QuickBooks products. The reason behind that is that we’ve become experts and can better serve our clients that way. We would be happy to refer you to another accounting professional that supports your chosen software.


Can I use my own Payroll service?

Of course! You decide what parts of your process you want to turn over to us.


Will you prepare my income taxes?

No, but we will work with your tax preparer to make your filing as smooth as possible.
